The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund

Established in 2017, The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football honours the legacy and vision of the late Charles "Charlie" Marshall and his wife, Lesley, whose shared passion for football and youth development inspired a lasting commitment to Bermuda's next generation. The Fund supports youth football development through grants that create opportunities for young players and strengthen grassroots football across Bermuda.

Charlie believed that Bermuda's youth should have the resources, mentorship and opportunities to thrive. A long-serving Bermuda referee, FIFA-certified official, former President of the Bermuda Referees Association and former President of the Bermuda Football Association, Charlie believed in creating opportunities for future generations long after his time on the pitch.

The Fund's Committee of Advisors—Lesley Marshall, Ryan Marshall, Troy Harvey and Shervin Dill—continues to honour and advance that vision. Managed by the Bermuda Foundation, the Fund is committed to ensuring the highest standards of stewardship, sustainability and community impact.

The Bermuda Foundation is a registered charity (#948) established to create a permanent asset endowment for the benefit of the community of Bermuda. It facilitates strategic philanthropy, manages donor-advised funds, and connects donors with the causes that matter most to ensure long-term community growth.

Purpose

The Charles and Lesley Marshall Fund for Football, managed by the Bermuda Foundation, in partnership with Trevo Academy, is proud to offer this scholarship opportunity to help expand access to youth football development for young Bermudians. Inspired by Charlie and Lesley Marshall's vision of creating opportunities through football, the scholarship supports boys and girls aged 8 to 13 who demonstrate passion, potential, and commitment, while helping to remove financial barriers to participation.

To apply, submit a 2–3 minute video telling us your story. This is your chance to show your passion, personality, and commitment to the game, so be creative and let your voice be heard. Your video must include your story which includes:

How has football inspired you?
How do you spend your summers?
Who is your role model and why?
Why should you be selected?

Submit your 2-3 minute video application to trevoacademy@gmail.com by July 24, 2026.

Trevo Academy will review the submissions and the selected individuals will be contacted directly by Trevo Academy through email by July 27, 2026.
